The University of Sussex started a blog competition during freshers week. The blog could contain whatever the students found interesting like for example the university, campus, Brighton, new restaurants, their course, or what they were looking forward too. I decided to enter this competition for fun. To avoid writing too much on two different blogs, I used the posts on this blog on my new blog as well (and I wrote that I did of course!!). Yesterday when I was going through my school email, I found an email saying that I won the second price in the competition. I was so surprised that I thought someone was tricking me. I had never thought I would win a prize in a competition like that when there is over 10,000 students at this university! My prize is a three month Gold sports Membership. :) So I feel that I have to share what the jury said. They thought that I used pictures well and reflected on my thoughts and feelings in a very honest way. They also liked that I helped to spread the word about the Norwegian comedians who is called Ylvis. So I am obviously very excited about this!
Today I went to Brighton to play laser tag. We were about 20 students from our block. I was really nervous because I had never done anything like it before, but I ended up having so much fun! The first round didn´t go that well, but the second time I was number 9 of 20, which isn´t too bad. I went home to take a shower afterwards, but I ended up listening to music for an hour before I actually did something. Now that it´s so late it won´t be long until I have to go to bed. I have a nine o´clock lecture tomorrow, and after that I´m going to study at the library with a friend before my lab session in the afternoon.
